The odds above tell the tale on any team's chances of making the NFL Playoffs. Realistically, though, are you going to bet on teams like the Chiefs or Eagles at such prohibitive odds?

Value bets on teams to make NFL Playoffs

The Houston Texans and C.J. Stroud have been among the season's biggest surprises.

Texans

Stroud, the No. 2 pick in this year's NFL Draft, is a runaway betting favorite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. He's even crept into the MVP conversation. That's heady stuff for any first-year signal caller.

The Texans (6-4) find themselves just one game behind the Jaguars (7-3) for the AFC South division lead. Jacksonville is up next on the schedule, which appears favorable for the Texans after this week's divisional game.

  • Jaguars
  • Broncos
  • Jets

These NFL playoff odds fluctuate on a weekly basis. You could have bet the Texans at plus-money odds last week. If Houston loses to the Jags, though, you might again see the Texans at plus odds.

Steelers

Pittsburgh (6-4) trails AFC North leader Baltimore (8-3) by two games after a 13-10 loss to Cleveland. The Steelers beat the Ravens early this year and have a chance to sweep the season series.

Prior to the loss to Cleveland, Pittsburgh managed to find a way in close games. The Steelers have yet to win by more than a touchdown.

  • Steelers 26 Browns 22
  • Steelers 23 Raiders 18
  • Steelers 17 Ravens 10
  • Steelers 24 Rams 17
  • Steelers 20 Titans 16
  • Steelers 23 Packers 19

NFL Playoffs: Top sleeper teams

The Bills righted the ship with a dominant 32-6 win over the Jets.

Bills

Buffalo (6-5) trails the Dolphins (7-3) in the AFC East, but the Bills are in a nice stalking position. Miami hasn't proven it can beat good teams with losses to Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Kansas City.

The Bills will have one of the NFL's best home-field advantages with weather on its side as we delve deeper into the season. Buffalo won its final four regular season games last year.

Falcons

Atlanta (4-6) isn't a great team, but it has a decent chance to make the playoffs by virtue of playing in the NFC South. The Saints lead the division with a 5-5 record.

The Falcons host the Saints on Sunday, and will grab a share of the division lead with a victory. Atlanta has dropped three straight games with Taylor Heinicke as starting QB. The decision was made this week to have Desmond Ridder start for the remainder of the season.

The schedule is working in Atlanta's favor after this week's tilt vs. New Orleans.

  • Bucs at Falcons
  • Falcons at Panthers
