The Clippers and Spurs played for the second time in Victor Wembanyama’s young career on Monday night, and San Antonio’s big man struggled mightily.

Wembanyama followed up his 11-point performance from the first game with a nine-point outing on 33% shooting from the field. He’ll get his third crack at the Clippers' aggressive perimeter defenders tonight.

Still, Wembanyama's presence sets up plenty of interesting wagers for tonight’s action, including Wembanyama's props against the Clippers.

Let's dive into the Clippers vs. Spurs odds, props, and predictions.

Odds for Clippers vs. Spurs: Point spread, moneyline, total for Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023

The Clippers are favorites again tonight, but if the Spurs can find a way to prevent the dam from breaking down the stretch, they’ll be in a better position to end their dreaded nine-game losing streak.

Victor Wembanyama props vs. Clippers

Here are some Wembanyama props against the Clippers, courtesy of DraftKings:

  • o/u 17.5 points (-108)
  • o/u 8.5 total rebounds (-111)
  • o/u 2.5 assists (+114)
  • o/u 2.5 blocks (+150)
  • o/u 1.5 3-pointers made (-125)

Here are our favorite plays of the night.

  • OVER three-pointers: Wembanyama has seen good looks from three-point range against the Clippers, thanks to the action and ball movement of the Spurs offense. He struggles shooting when the offense is out of rhythm. Now that he has seen them twice, Wembanyama will settle and get a couple of threes to go down. He's shot at least four attempts from deep in three straight games – more than enough volume to help him cover this line.
  • OVER assists: The Spurs often put Wembanyama in pick-and-roll action to create favorable matchups and unleash his scoring ability. Despite back-to-back losses, the strategy has helped to create good looks for him and his teammates in those games However, his teammates have been unable to reward his efforts with more baskets, leading to consecutive games with four assists despite countless more opportunities. The more challenging a defense is, the more likely he is to look for his supporting cast. His biggest assist performances were against top-ranked teams in defensive efficiency, and the Clippers are top-10.
  • To score the first basket (): Wembanyama has won the opening tip in both games vs. the Clippers, which sets him up to do it again. In both games, the Spurs capitalized by getting the first basket. Keldon Johnson cashed in a three in the first game, and Wembanyama scored on a mid-range jumper in the second. After his performance against the Clippers in the last matchup, the Spurs will likely go to him early and often to establish himself.

Clippers vs. Spurs analysis: Injuries and Wembanyama's struggles leave little hope to end the streak

The Clippers have won two straight games after dropping six straight. The identity of their offense is becoming clearer with Russell Westbrook coming off the bench.

Their opponents haven’t been the best since the change was made, but considering they lost to the Grizzlies without Ja Morant, the Nuggets without Jamal Murray, and the Jazz, their current wins are worth noting.

Meanwhile, it’s a complete freefall in San Antonio. They've lost nine straight games, and most haven't been close. Their biggest letdown has been defense, allowing at least 120 or more points in seven of the nine losses.

That includes surrendering 152 to the Pacers, 129 to the Kings, and 126 to the Raptors. Given that the Clippers’ offense is beginning to figure things out, the Spurs will have yet another mountain to climb to stop the bleeding.

They will also be without starting guard Devin Vassell, who is out day-to-day with a groin injury. That’s 17 points of missing offense for a team struggling to keep pace. Things could get much worse in San Antonio before they get better.

Clippers vs. Spurs predictions

The Clippers are significant favorites against the Spurs tonight after rolling to a 124-99 win on Monday night. The Clippers are trending upward, while the struggling Spurs have a lot working against them.

One of the biggest is Wembanyama's clear struggles against the Clippers’ defense. A better performance will be an average night for him instead of an explosive outing. The latter is exactly what they would need to pull out the upset.
