IPL 2024 Auction: What is the remaining purse for each team?

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction is nearing. All the teams will enter into the bidding war on December 19 as a mini auction for IPL 2024 is planned at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

But before that on November 26, every franchise will submit the list of their retained and released players for IPL 2024.

A trading window is also open. Mumbai Indians have locked in a cash deal with Sunrisers Hyderabad for Romario Shepherd, while Avesh Khan and Devdutt Padikkal have exchanged franchises, getting transferred to Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants respectively.

All the teams have been alloted a purse of INR 100 crore each, witnessing an increase of INR 5 crore from the last year. They will carry on their left over purse from the previous auction, with all the additions made on the basis of released and retained players.

How is the purse amount determined for each team?

Teams have already released players while some have retired like CSK's Ambati Rayudu. Him leaving the team adds INR 6.25 crore to CSK's purse. Ben Stokes will miss IPL 2024 and CSK released him, meaning another INR 16.75 crore went into their bank. 

Once all teams confirm their released and retained players, we will get an accurate idea of what each team's purse will be before the 2024 IPL mini-auction.
