The hits continue to come in for the Lakers in the early part of the season.

Rui Hachimura, who missed four of LA's first seven games while in the NBA's concussion protocol, is now set to miss more time. Now, the 25-year-old is sidelined with a nasal injury.

Hachimura has been solid for the Lakers this season, posting averages of 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 50.5 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from 3-point range. His injury comes while LA still awaits the return of Gabe Vincent and the season debut of Jarred Vanderbilt.

What is Rui Hachimura's injury?

Rui Hachimura has a nasal fracture that he underwent a procedure to repair.

On Friday, Nov. 24, the Lakers announced that Hachimura underwent a procedure to repair a nasal fracture that he sustained against the Mavericks on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Hachimura saw 26 minutes of playing time against Dallas, scoring nine points in a three-point loss.

How long is Rui Hachimura out?

Per the Lakers, Hachimura will be re-evaluated exactly one week from the procedure he underwent on Nov. 24. With this timeline, Hachimura will miss each stop of the Lakers' four-game road trip that includes stops in Cleveland, Philadelphia, Detroit and Oklahoma City.

The earliest Hachimura could potentially return to action is on Dec. 2 when the Lakers host the Rockets. LA is set to host an In-Season Tournament Quarterfinal game on either Dec. 4 or 5.
