One of the top influencers to first compete in a boxing ring, Logan Paul has a large following in the combat sports world. Whether putting on a pair of gloves or jumping out of a WWE ring onto a table, "The Maverick" has found ways to stay relevant outside of YouTube.

Paul faced Ricochet at WWE's SummerSlam event on August 5, 2023. He held his own against the high-flying star, landing moves that wowed the fans in attendance. While his antics have made him a villain in wrestling, his athleticism has been praised.

Will Paul continue his progress in boxing? His brother, Jake, has been making an earnest attempt, while Logan has had fun in exhibitions and pro contests. The YouTube star isn’t leaving the boxing world behind, as he still has opportunities to grow in the sport.

What’s next for Logan Paul, who juggles combat sports with promoting PRIME and his podcast? Will fight fans see him in action again soon, and, if so, in which setting?

The Sporting News will provide and update a comprehensive timeline of Paul and what the future may hold for him.

Logan Paul WWE career, rumors

Paul made his pro wrestling debut in 2021. He appeared on a segment where Sami Zayn was promoting his documentary. Paul accepted Zayn's invitation to WrestleMania 37, where the latter faced rival Kevin Owens. After Owens beat Zayn, Paul celebrated with Owens but was hit by a Stone Cold Stunner. Paul returned to WWE in September of that year, helping Happy Corbin against Owens.

In February 2022, Paul was named The Miz's tag team partner for WrestleMania 38. In his in-ring debut, Paul and Miz beat Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Miz attacked Paul after that match.

After signing a multi-event deal with WWE in June, Paul beat Miz at SummerSlam. Not long after, he challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. In what was an impressive outing, Paul ultimately lost. He returned at the Royal Rumble this past January, eliminating Seth Rollins. That resulted in a feud that saw him lose against Rollins at WrestleMania 39. KSI was even involved in the match.

In April 2023, Paul signed a new deal to remain with WWE for the foreseeable future.

"I feel incredibly blessed to have found something that I’m good at, at 28 years old," Paul told ESPN. "And the fact that the organization believes I’m good enough to continue hopefully building this WWE legacy is mind-blowing."

Paul returned to a WWE ring in July 2023, competing in a Money in the Bank ladder match. While he lost that match, many were impressed by his athleticism. Paul also started a rivalry with Ricochet, facing him at SummerSlam on August 5 and winning the bout by using brass knuckles.

Logan Paul's boxing history

In 2018, at the Manchester Arena, Paul fought to a draw in an amateur boxing fight against another YouTuber in KSI. The two would also compete in a rematch, this time as professionals, in a bout that was promoted by Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing. Hearn supported the fight after seeing the numbers that their first encounter generated. Paul vs. KSI took place at the Staples Center in 2019, and 12,000 people watched KSI win a split decision.

Paul returned to the ring in 2021 to face boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition. The bout went the distance but wasn't scored. “The Maverick” has since called out Mayweather for not paying him and threatened to sue the Hall of Fame boxer.

When will Logan Paul box again?

It wasn't until July 2023 that Paul announced his return to boxing when he agreed to appear in an MF & DAZN: X Series event on October 14.

Joining KSI, who will fight Tommy Fury, Paul's opponent is Dillon Danis.

Who is Dillon Danis?

Danis won gold and silver at the Pan Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championships. "El Jefe" has competed in various submission grappling events, facing the likes of Joe Lauzon, Jake Shields, and Gordon Ryan. Friends with Conor McGregor, he started training with the Irish fighter to begin his career, preparing him for fights against Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Turning pro in 2018, Danis competed for Bellator twice, winning both bouts via submission. He last fought in 2019, beating Max Humphrey at Bellator 222. Knee surgeries, among other factors, have kept him away from the ring since.

Danis was supposed to fight KSI in a boxing match to start 2023 but backed out before fight night.

The build-up to the Paul-Danis bout has been marred by the latter sharing pictures of Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, online. Agdal has a restraining order in place and is in the process of suing Danis.
